Reece Douglas

Reece Douglas is a 23 year old British born actor based in Manchester, UK.

His career started following a nationwide casting for one of BBC’s most popular dramas named Waterloo Road. After a successful string of auditions, Reece landed his first major role as Denzil Kelly in this hit TV show. From making his debut in 2007, the show went from strength to strength and in 2011 won a BAFTA for best continuing drama.

Also at this time, Reece worked alongside Una Stubbs & David Calder in CBBC’s film Ingenious; he also played the role of Jack in BBC’s Accused.

By 2012, Reece had made his footprint known within the acting industry and landed the role as Neil Johns in BBC’s Casualty, a 4 episode storyline which was a close portrayal of the London riots.

In the same year, Reece landed the role of Mickey, his first role in a major feature film, entitled The Knife That Killed Me. This was the first ever film to be created using solely green screen CGI. Its potential was soon recognised and it went on to be purchased by Universal Pictures.

In 2013, Reece was the first actor to land two different lead roles in BBC’s Doctors, contrary to the usual stipulation which does not allow the same actor to play different roles within 18 months.

In 2015, Reece went on to land a lead role called Calvin in a gruesome thriller called Cruel Summer, a film based on true events, which can now be purchased at most major media retailers or viewed on Sky Premiere.

This year, Reece Douglas has played Johnny in BBC’s Moving On and also a cameo role in CBBC’s 4 O’Clock Club. Now moving on from being a child actor, Cleft Lip is Reece’s first lead role in a feature film as an adult actor.
